Bhulai Bhai, the oldest worker of the Bharatiya Janata Party, has passed away. He breathed his last at the age of 111 at 6 pm in Kaptanganj. Bhulai Bhai rose to fame during the Covid period when Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself called and inquired about his well-being. Shri Narayan alias Bhulai Bhai, 111, has been an MLA on the Jan Sangh ticket. His health deteriorated on Monday and since then he was on oxygen at his home in Pagar Chhapra.
Bhulai Bhai entered politics inspired by Deendayal Upadhyay and became a two-time Jan Sangh MLA from Naurangia seat in Kushinagar in 1974. Even after Jan Sangh converted to BJP, he was a party worker.
After the Yogi Adityanath government returned to power in Uttar Pradesh in the year 2022, Bhulai Bhai arrived in Lucknow as a special guest at the oath-taking ceremony. At the workers’ conference in Lucknow, Amit Shah honored Bhulai Bhai by coming down from the stage.
