If we look at the points table of the World Test Championship, team India was at number one even before the Pune Test and it is still at number one. Yes, what has definitely happened is that now the PCT gap between India and Australia has narrowed considerably. Before the Pune Test, the Indian team's PCT was 68.06, which has now fallen to 62.82 with the loss in this match. While Australia's PCT is only 62.50, because Australia has not played any Test match since March 2024.

Meanwhile, if we talk about other teams, Sri Lanka team is ranked third after India and Australia. Sri Lanka PCT is currently 55.56. After winning the series, New Zealand overtook South Africa and took fourth position with 50.00 PCT. The South African team has lost one place and has now fallen to fifth place.

On the other hand, Pakistan team managed to win the test series at home after a long time which gave them a huge lead in the World Test Championship points table. Pakistan team has now reached number 7. Pakistan's PCT is 33.33. At the same time, the English team has fallen to sixth position with a PCT of 40.79. After Pakistan won the series, Bangladesh team also dropped one place to 8th position while West Indies team moved to the lowest position i.e. 9th position.
