Chandīgarh: The Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau team today arrested Sub-Inspector Arjun Singh posted at Faridabad District NIT Police Station red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 12.50 lakh. The ACB team also recovered an amount of Rs 7.47 lakh from accused Arjun Singh’s car. The second accused in this case, Sub-Inspector Ram, fled. The investigation is ongoing.
Giving information in this regard, the government spokesperson said that the Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau team had received a complaint in which the complainant informed that a case had been registered against him (the complainant) and his friend Vishal at the police station in Cyber Police NIT, Faridabad. . Both defendants were released from prison on bail. It was said that in this case, the accused are demanding a bribe of Rs 12.50 lakh in return for helping the complainant and his friend and getting them bail.
Confirming this case, the ACB team planned to nab the accused and arrested the accused Arjun Singh red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 12.50 lakh. The ACB team recovered another amount of Rs 7.47 lakh from accused Arjun Singh’s car. The second accused in this case, Ram, absconded. It is being investigated by the ACB team collecting all the necessary evidence. All this action was carried out with transparency in front of the witnesses. Action has been taken against the accused by registering a case at the Anti-Corruption Bureau of Faridabad Police Station.
