The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) scored an excellent victory in the assembly elections in Maharashtra. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis congratulated Bhupendra Yadav after trends emerged in vote counting and indicated a landslide victory for the Mahayuti (alliance of BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP).
