UP By Elections: Bharatiya Janata Party leads with seven of 9 seats

UP Election Results 2024, (Aaj Samaj), New Delhi: Apart from the Jharkhand and Maharashtra Assemblies, counting of votes is also taking place today in 46 Assembly seats of 15 states. Recently, a poll was held along with Maharashtra on these seats which were vacant due to various reasons and their results will also be published today. Nine of the 46 seats come from Uttar Pradesh, where, according to the latest trends, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alliance has a lead of seven seats. There are two Lok Sabha seats, including Wayanad, whose votes are being counted today.

Samajwadi Party leads with two seats

Looking at partial electoral trends, the Samajwadi Party (SP) seems to be winning with two seats. The party leads the Karhal assembly seat located in Mainpuri, the stronghold of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav. Anujesh Yadav was selected for this post by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Anujesh Yadav is Akhilesh’s first cousin-in-law.

BJP to win 8 of 9 seats: Brajesh Pathak

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak has given his reaction on the initial results. He stated that
The Bharatiya Janata Party will register its name in eight of the nine seats. He has also given his reaction on Karhal’s seat. Brajesh Pathak has said that there was a tough fight for the Karhal seat, but his community (SP) has more voters here, so he is in a good position.

Mahayuti will be formed in Maharashtra with an absolute majority Government

The deputy CM also gave his reaction on the ongoing vote counting in Maharashtra. He said that BJP (Mahayuti) alliance will register victory in Maharashtra with absolute majority. People of the state have expressed confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s welfare schemes and the result is Mahayuti getting absolute majority.
