Devotees and tourists coming to Prayagraj Mahakumbh will also be able to see the Colt pistol of Chandrashekhar Azad. Chandrashekhar Azad’s pistol is kept in the Azad Gallery of the Prayagraj Museum. During Mahakumbh, an exhibition will be organized at the fairgrounds itself, where devotees will be able to see the replica of Azad’s gun. This initiative will be taken for the first time to provide information about history to the devotees coming to Mahakumbh.
After firing from Chandrashekhar Azad’s ‘Bamatul Bukhara’ pistol, no smoke came out of it. Therefore, the British could not know where the bullets came from. It was a Colt Company .32 caliber hammerless semi-automatic pistol. It had a magazine that held eight bullets at a time. A large number of history lovers and tourists come to the Prayagraj Museum to see the Azad gun.

As part of the preparations for Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, work related to widening of roads and strengthening of drainage system, lighting and other basic facilities is progressing at a rapid pace. The Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA) has spared no effort in preparing to make this grand event a success. A target has been set to complete the work of widening and strengthening major roads in the city by November 30 to facilitate the movement of devotees and tourists during Mahakumbh.
