gorakhpur : The 35th Foundation Day celebration of Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) will be celebrated on Saturday in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. On this occasion, the Chief Minister himself will hand over the allotment certificates to five big investors for the plots allotted to 85 investors against the proposed investment of Rs 1,068 crore by GIDA in the current financial year. Apart from laying the foundation stone and inaugurating infrastructure development works worth Rs 209 million in various sectors of GIDA, it will also provide certificates to youth undergoing skill development training at GIDA’s NIELIT Centre. On the foundation day, CM Yogi will also inaugurate the two-day trade fair to be organized at GIDA and 20 GIDA facilities that will be integrated on the Nivesh Mitra portal.

According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GIDA, Mrs. Anuj Malik, in the 35th year of its inception, GIDA has so far allotted 85 industrial plots in an area of ​​3 lakh 27 thousand 313 square meters. Through this, an investment of Rs 1,068 crore and creation of 4,658 jobs is proposed. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will distribute allotment letters to five big investors among the allotted plots at the Foundation Day function. According to the GIDA CEO, the major units that have been allotted land in the current financial year include APL Apollo Tubes Limited, SLMG PET Plant, Kapila Agriculture Industries, Ison Air Cooler, Technoplast Packaging Private Limited, Modern Packaging Private Limited and Novamax. The projects laid for the foundation stone include civil works worth Rs 94 million and electrical works worth Rs 29 million. Ease of doing business will improve
*Ease of doing business will be further improved with the Chief Minister’s launch of 20 GIDA facilities to be integrated into the Nivesh Mitra portal. It is noteworthy that last year, in celebration of the founding day of GIDA, CM Yogi launched the ‘GIDA Seva’ portal for the convenience of businessmen. Now, with the addition of 20 GIDA facilities on the Nivesh Mitra portal, entrepreneurs will get more convenience.

NIELIT’s Gida Campus turns into skill development center
In the latest Foundation Day celebration, GIDA signed an MoU with NIELIT (National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology) and provided a 9,280 square meter campus along with the building constructed free of cost for skill development of the youth local. NIELIT’s Gida Campus has become a hub for skill development. To date, 617 young people have been trained in 13 courses. In celebration of the 35th Foundation Day of GIDA, CM Yogi will distribute certificates to five NIELIT-trained youth.

Local products will be showcased alongside big companies during the two-day fair.
GIDA will also host a two-day trade fair on its founding day. In it, in addition to the products of large companies, local products will be exhibited, especially ODOP. The Chief Minister has already given instructions to give a better platform to local products. Representatives of 15 large companies, including PepsiCo, Coca-Cola and Adani Group, will also attend the fair. Three technical sessions will also be organized on December 1, the second day of the fair.
