Meanwhile, when he reached Jalalpur Rafiganj road before Manguradila junction, two cyclists came from behind. As they approached their motorcycle, the rider sitting behind pounced on the gold chain around the woman’s neck, snatched it away and headed towards Manguradila. He ran away. The young man was shocked by the kidnapping incident in broad daylight. A crowd also gathered at the scene. The victim informed the police about the kidnapping incident. The police reached the spot after receiving information and laid siege to the area and searched for the robbers, but they escaped. Kotwali in-charge Hiralal Yadav said that information about the incident has been received and an investigation is underway.
