We tell you that Mahayuti has won 230 seats in the assembly elections. In which the BJP won 132 seats, Shiv Sena (Shinde) 57 and NCP (Ajit Pawar) 41 seats. At the same time, the Congress-led Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA) could get only 46 seats. In MVA, Shiv Sena (Uddhav) won 20 seats, Congress 16 and NCP (Sharad Pawar) 10 seats. The SP has won 2 seats, while 10 seats have gone to others.
In fact, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday described the BJP-led alliance’s landslide victory in Maharashtra as popular support for his government’s governance model. He said the public has rejected Congress’ lies and deceptions. He also accused the Gandhi family of spreading the poison of caste system and division.
Elated by the NDA’s unprecedented victory in the politically prized state, Prime Minister Modi reiterated his call of “If we have one, we are safe”, saying this is the most important message from Maharashtra after the Haryana elections and has become the “Maha Mantra”. of the country. Calling the opposition party a parasite, he said it is difficult for the Congress to come to power on its own.
On the Congress’ claim that the BJP is a threat to the Constitution, he said the Congress and its allies tried to divide people through lies and deception. Inquiring about the Gandhi family, he said that the priority of the Congress is only the family, not the people of the country. He said the royal family is now spreading the poison of the caste system.
Prime Minister Modi said one family’s hunger for power has grown so big that it has devoured the party, claiming that the fire of discontent is growing in the Congress as many of its own leaders no longer identify with its current values. When it comes to good governance, people only trust the BJP, he said, adding that the party has also performed impressively in the by-elections held across the country. This is a historic hallmark in the BJP’s governance model.
Regarding the electoral results of Maharashtra, he said that development, good governance and true social justice have won. Lies, deception, divisive forces, negative politics and nepotism have met with great defeat. The chief minister said people have given priority to stability and the state has broken all records in support for the BJP-led alliance.
Taking a dig at former BJP ally-turned-rival and Shiv Sena faction chief Uddhav Thackeray, the chief minister said leaders who resorted to betrayal and tried to create instability have been completely rejected by the people. He said the Congress formed an alliance with Uddhav Thackeray, but the party and its leaders could not speak in support of the policies of his father Bal Thackeray, the leading Hindutva voice of his time.
We told you that the BJP-led alliance had won a majority in the 2019 assembly elections in Maharashtra, but its then ally Uddhav Thackeray joined the opposition to form the government, which fell in 2022. Which paved the way for the saffron party to come to power as it had formed an alliance with this group.
The Prime Minister said that the Congress and its machinery thought that by spreading lies in the name of the Constitution, they could divide the SC, ST and other backward classes into smaller groups. This is a big slap in the face. He said voters in Maharashtra also evaluated the Congress on the basis of false promises made in other states like Karnataka, Telangana and Himachal Pradesh.
Modi said neither his false promises nor his dangerous agenda worked in Maharashtra. The Prime Minister said that the Maharashtra elections also show that only one Constitution will prevail in India and that Babasaheb Ambedkar handed over the Constitution to the people of the country. He said the Congress and its allies are again trying to build a wall of Article 370 of the Constitution in Jammu and Kashmir.
