According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, after noon on November 23, there was snowfall in the higher parts of the state such as Atal Rohtang Tunnel, Koksar Rohtang Pass, Kunzum Pass, Baralacha and the peaks of the CB range.
Due to the snowfall, white chard was visible on all the summits. According to the department, the first snowfall of this winter season was recorded today in the Atal Rohtang tunnel. According to the Meteorological Service, the cold wave has increased in the valley due to snowfall. The effect of snowfall is also visible in Kullu Manali.
Yellow alert issued
The Meteorological Department considers it a good sign. Apart from this, similar weather is expected to prevail in the valley in the coming days. The Shimla Meteorological Department Center today issued a forecast of rain and snowfall in high altitude areas of Chamba, Kangra, Kullu-Manali and Lahaul-Spiti districts. However, there will be no major change in the minimum and maximum temperatures in the state for the next 3 days. And after 2 days, there will be a drop of about 2 degrees Celsius in some parts of the state. In addition, a yellow alert has been issued due to dense fog during the morning and afternoon.
