‘If they spew venom on Saudi Arabia…’, Pakistani PM issues stern warning – Pakistani Prime Minister Shebaz Sharif criticizes Bushra Bibi for her accusation on Saudi Arabia tlifwr

A statement by Bushra Bibi, wife of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, has created a stir in Pakistani politics. He had dragged Saudi Arabia’s name behind the overthrow of Imran Khan’s government, for which he has now been reprimanded by Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. On Friday, Shahbaz Sharif said strict action will be taken against those spewing venom against Saudi Arabia.

In a video message on Thursday, the PTI chief’s wife claimed that Imran Khan had walked barefoot in Madinah during his visit to Saudi Arabia. Foreign powers were dissatisfied with their religious work. Bushra Bibi further said that after the former Prime Minister returned from Madina, the then Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa received several calls from Saudi Arabia expressing disagreement regarding Imran Khan. He did not say who had made these calls.

After his comment, General Bajwa’s statement also came to light in which he said that Bushra Bibi’s allegations are 100 percent false. After Bajwa, now the Pakistani Prime Minister has targeted Bushra Bibi for adopting the name of Saudi Arabia.

‘Spending poison against the country that…’

Speaking at an event, he recalled the strong relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. He said that no matter who was in power in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia had helped without demanding anything in return. This also includes assisting in recent negotiations with the International Monetary Fund.

Talking about Bushra’s comments, he said: “Unfortunately I have to mention some incidents here because… yesterday a statement came out about which I think there can be no greater enmity against Pakistan than you are spewing venom against the country that has never He asked for nothing in return and has always opened his doors to Pakistan.

‘The country will break those hands that…’

The Prime Minister warned: ‘Spending poison against Saudi Arabia is a crime that cannot be forgiven. As Prime Minister, I want to announce that the country will break any obstacle that becomes an obstacle in the friendship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. This is not a joke. What will he (Saudi Arabia) think? Accusations have been made that no one can even imagine. The seeds of hate are being sown for short-term political gain. What political interest is this that sacrifices the supreme interest of Pakistan?

Shahbaz Sharif said that in case of a friendly country like Saudi Arabia, no one will be allowed to play with the country’s interests. He said those who are “spreading such poison in society” have no idea of its consequences.

What did the PTI say about Bushra Bibi’s claims?

Meanwhile, Imran Khan’s PTI party has said that Shehbaz Sharif’s government is portraying Bushra Bibi’s comments negatively. In a post on the social media site

Waqas Akram further wrote: ‘Bushra Bibi did not directly or indirectly mention the name of the leadership or government of Saudi Arabia in his message, nor is there any possibility of doing so. Instead, she (Bushra Bibi) has pointed out those led by General Qamar Javed Bajwa who were active against an elected democratic government both internally and externally. It created an environment to pave the way for power shift locally and internationally.

The PTI spokesperson said the campaign against Bushra is not new. He said the government has also accused him in the past and has spun a web of false cases against him, in all major cases where his innocence has been proven in court.

Imran Khan also spoke in defense of his wife.

A tweet has also been published from the X account of Imran Khan, imprisoned in Pakistan for corruption cases. In the tweet, Khan said that he has very good relations with Saudi Arabia. He said that when he was attacked in Wazirabad on November 3, 2022, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was one of the first people to call him.

He further said in his wife’s defense: “Bushra Bibi’s statement is being deliberately distorted so that our friendly country can be dragged into unnecessary controversy.” Imran Khan, however, did not adopt the name Saudi Arabia.
