Ayodhya: Anil Mishra, member of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, has said that in case of impurity in the family of a priest due to birth or death, the entry of that priest into the Ram temple will be completely prohibited. He said that priests who have completed 6 months of training will soon be given the responsibility of performing rituals at the Ram temple. According to Champat Rai, general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, the new priests will have to follow the guidelines set by the religious committee of the Ram temple.
6 months of training for 20 priests
According to the guidelines, priests will be assigned the task of performing rituals at the 18 temples within the temple complex at regular intervals. Mishra said that a training program was recently held to appoint trained priests in the Ram temple and a team of highly qualified people in Ayodhya has provided training for six months to 20 priests.
Prohibition of carrying mobile phones during the puja
He said that in case of birth or death in the family of a priest, that priest will not be allowed to enter the temple and this means that in case of impurity, his entry into the temple will be completely prohibited. Mishra said carrying mobile phones, especially Android phones, will be prohibited during the puja, although push-button phones can be used if necessary. (with language inputs)
