Benares: Rajatalab police station under the Varanasi Police Commissionerate was thrown out of the car by the public in Baragaon and brutally beaten. The video of the beating of the police station manager is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In fact, the head of the Rajatalab police station was returning from Babatpur with his family on Saturday in civilian clothes. Suddenly, his car collided with a car at Harhua junction. The driver of the vehicle was seriously injured due to the force of the impact. The public present at the scene fiercely beat the driver of the car, the person in charge of the police station, Ajit Kumar Verma, dressed in civilian clothes.
According to the information received, during the beating, the station manager kept appealing to the people and claimed to be the SHO, but the angry crowd did not listen and continued beating the station manager. On receiving information about the same accident, the Harhua Chowk police team reached the spot and the car driver, in charge of the police station, emerged safely from the crowd. Police personnel took those injured in the accident to the primary health care center, where when the condition of the car driver became critical, he was referred first to the district hospital and then to the trauma center.
