Jammu and Kashmir: LG takes strict action against those helping terrorists, two more government employees sacked

Srinagar: Two more government employees have been fired from their jobs for helping terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. Among the laid-off employees are a teacher and a pharmacist. This measure has been taken under Article 311 of the Constitution of India.

Let us tell you that in recent months, the administration has fired many government employees accused of terrorist ties. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha took this action following an investigation by the administration and intelligence agencies.

Deep ties to terrorist organizations

Both are said to have had deep connections with terrorist organizations. They were also receiving help from terrorist groups based in Pakistan. Among the dismissed employees, Rehman Naik is a pharmacist in the health department, while the other employee, Zahir Abbas, is a professor.

Rehman Naik

Rehman Naik’s link with the terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen came to light when the police started investigating the Ghulam Hasan Lone murder case in Devsar. Rehman Naik admitted that he worked as an overground worker for the terrorists. Their main job was to identify targets and prepare for terrorist attacks. Rehman and his associates were detained with hand grenades and ammunition.

Zaheer Abbas

Zaheer Abbas resides in Badat Sarur in Kishtwar and was appointed as a teacher in a government school in 2012. In 2020, he was arrested for harboring three active terrorists. During interrogation, it was also revealed that apart from providing weapons and ammunition to the terrorists, Abbas was also giving them information about the position of the security forces.
