Karmas 2024: In the Hindu religion, the time of Kharmas is not considered auspicious for auspicious works. This is the reason why functions like marriage and housewarming stop during Kharmas. Kharmas lasts for a whole month. Kharmas begins when the Sun enters Sagittarius. Auspicious activities are prohibited on Kharmas, but this time is considered very good for worship. Worshiping Lord Surya Dev and Vishnu during Kharmas is fruitful.

What should be done during Kharmas?
- Giving charity during Kharmas is considered very good. Doing this brings blessings in happiness and wealth.
- By performing puja during Kharmas, one gets much more auspicious results.
- The mantra ‘Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay Namah’ should be chanted on Kharmas.
- Worshiping Lord Vishnu during Kharmas brings the desired results.
- Apart from this, worshiping the Sun God on Kharmas is also auspicious.
What not to do in Kharmas?
- Marriage and other auspicious functions should not be performed during Kharmas.
- No new businesses or new jobs should be started in Kharmas.
- Even the construction of the house is not done during Kharmas.
- Griha Pravesh should not be organized during Kharmas.
- One should not travel during Kharmas unless it is absolutely necessary.
- Making new purchases during Kharmas is also prohibited.
