This leak is occurring in the Russian PrK module of the space station. Which connects the Zvezda service module with the space station.
NASA and the Russian Space Agency have known about this leak since 2019. But the reason for this leak has not yet been discovered. Many times the space station has been in danger due to this leak. An attempt was also made to seal the leak site. But all this was in vain. At this moment Russia and the United States are arguing about the seriousness of this leak.

Every day 1.1 kg of air escapes, an explosion may occur.
NASA reported that there is a leak in the Russian module of the space station, from which between 0.9 and 1.1 kg of air escape every day. So the balance of the space station is deteriorating. By April this year, this leak had increased to 1.7 kg per day. If this is not corrected, the air leak rate may increase.

NASA also plans to install additional pallets on SpaceX’s Crew Dragon capsule to save its astronauts and bring them back to Earth. NASA astronaut Michael Barrett says the station is no longer young. Cracks may soon appear in different places at the station. It can explode. Still, efforts are being made to keep the space station operational until 2030. Then it will crash into Earth’s atmosphere.

The space station has been continuously filled with astronauts since November 2000. It is a 25-year-old floating laboratory in space.
