Eknath Shinde
Eknath Shinde currently He is the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and also the chief of the Shiv Sena Party. Devendra Fadnavis
Devendra Fadnavis was the Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 2014 to 2019. Later, he became CM for a few days after the 2019 assembly elections. When the Shiv Sena party was dissolved, the BJP + Shiv Sena government was formed. When Eknath Shinde became CM, Devendra Fadnavis was given the post of deputy CM. Ajit Pawar
Like Eknath Shinde, Ajit Pawar also rebelled against his own uncle Sharad Pawar and along with most of the NCP MLAs, became part of the BJP + Shiv Sena government. Uddhav Thackeray
Uddhav Thackeray inherited the legacy of Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray. In 2019, Uddhav broke the alliance that had lasted almost two decades with the BJP and formed the government with the Congress and the NCP. Following this, Uddhav Thackeray served as the 19th Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 2019 to 2022. However, dissatisfied party MLAs along with Eknath Shinde rebelled against Uddhav. After this, the Shiv Sena party passed on to Eknath Shinde and Uddhav formed a new party Shiv Sena (UBT). Several leaders of the Uddhav faction have claimed during the election campaign that Uddhav will become CM if the MVA government is formed in the state.
Nana Patole
Nana Patole was one of the veteran leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Maharashtra for a while. He was an MLA of the party and also became a Lok Sabha MP between 2014 and 2019. However, in the year 2019, Nana Patole left the BJP and joined the Congress. Nana Patole is currently the Maharashtra Congress president and is the biggest Congress name in the race for the CM post.
