In the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the BJP scored a hat-trick of victories with excellent seats. The electoral results graph seemed to rise even more than had been predicted in the exit polls. The BJP had contested 145 seats in these elections, while it had won 124 seats. The BJP’s strike rate in the elections was 85.5%, while Shinde’s Shiv Sena contested 81 seats and won 55 seats. Shinde’s party’s strike rate has been 70%. Ajit Pawar’s party, contesting the assembly elections alone for the first time after parting ways with his uncle, contested 59 seats and won 37 seats. The party’s strike rate according to the election results was 62.7%.

If we look at the performance of Mahavikas Aghadi in the elections, no party has been able to cross even the 20 mark. Congress, the largest party of Mahavikas Aghadi, contested the elections to win 102 seats, while it only won 19 seats. The Congressional strike rate in this election was 18.6%. Similarly, Uddhav’s Shiv Sena contested the elections on 92 seats and won 19 seats. The strike rate of Uddhav’s Shiv Sena was 20.6%, while the NCP party (Sharad faction) contested 86 seats and won 13 seats. The party’s strike rate in the elections was 15.1%.

If we look at the election results of Maharashtra, Mahavikas Aghadi looked completely defeated. Mahavikas Aghadi won 51 seats in the elections. No party in the MVA could even reach the figure of 28, necessary for the position of opposition leader. Experts believe that the reason for Mahayuti’s big victory was the party’s poor performance in the Lok Sabha elections. After the unexpected results in the Lok Sabha elections, the party suddenly changed its strategy, the effect of which was visible in the results of the assembly elections.

Worst performance of Congress and NCP (Sharad Pawar) so far
