Mahayuti alliance scores excellent victory in Maharashtra Assembly elections.
The results of the Maharashtra Assembly elections have come to light. Shiv Sena of the BJP-Shinde faction and the NCP of the Ajit Pawar faction won the elections. Mahayuti has won 230 seats in the 288-member state assembly. In the elections, the BJP won 132 seats, Shiv Sena won 57 seats while Ajit Pawar’s NCP won 41 seats. While in Mahavikas Aghadi, Sharad Pawar faction’s NCP won 10 seats, Congress 16 and Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena won 20 seats.
In the elections, the BJP not only emerged as the largest party but also won more seats than before. At the same time, the Congress-led Mahavikas Aghadi has suffered a crushing defeat. At the same time, many big opposition leaders have also faced defeat in the elections. Mahavikas Aghadi is reduced to only 46 seats. Ajit Pawar has won in Baramati.
BJP got maximum votes
Only the BJP has secured more than 26 per cent votes in the elections. In the current government, Deputy CM and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis has managed to win from the Nagpur South West seat. Fadnavis won by more than 1.25 lakh votes. BJP’s Maharashtra unit president Chandrashekhar Bawankule won the Kamthi seat in Nagpur district.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar won in their respective assembly constituencies, while senior Congress leaders Prithviraj Chavan and Balasaheb Thorat lost in their respective assembly constituencies. . Among the winners of the assembly elections was BJP’s Kalidas Kolambkar, who defeated Shiv Sena’s (UBT) Shraddha Jadhav by 24,973 votes in Wadala constituency and made it to the assembly for the ninth consecutive time.
Nana Patole won by 208 votes
Maharashtra Congress president Nana Patole won the Sakoli seat by 208 votes. Leader of the opposition in the Assembly, Vijay Wadettiwar of the Congress, won in Brahmpuri by defeating BJP candidate Krishna Lal Sahare by 13,971 votes.
Mohammad Ismail Abdul Khaliq of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), led by Asaduddin Owaisi, has retained the Malegaon Central Assembly seat by winning by a narrow margin of 162 votes in a close contest. Khaliq had earlier won the 2019 elections by over one lakh votes.

Talking about the remaining parties in the elections, Samajwadi Party 2 seats, Jan Surajya Shakti 2 seats, Rashtriya Yuva Swabhiman Party 1 seat, Rashtriya Samaj Paksha 1 seat, AIMIM 1 seat, CPIM 1 seat, PWPI 1 seat, Rajarshi Shahu Vikas Aghadi 1 seat and two independent candidates have won.
Talking about vote percentage, the BJP got 26.77 per cent of the votes, the Shiv Sena of the Shinde faction got 12.38 per cent of the votes and the NCP of the Ajit Pawar faction got 9.01 per cent. of the votes. Whereas, if we talk about Mahavikas Aghadi, Congress got 12.42 per cent votes, NCP from Sharad Pawar faction got 11.28 per cent votes and Shiv Sena from Uddhav faction got 9, 96 percent of the votes.
Who said what after the victory?
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said the assembly election results are historic and show who the NCP and Shiv Sena belong to. At the same time, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis said there is no dispute over the CM post and Mahayuti leaders will decide on this issue together. He said the results show that the state supports Prime Minister Modi.
Who ran for election and for how many seats?
In this election, the BJP contested 149 seats, the Shiv Sena fielded candidates for 81 seats and the Ajit Pawar-led NCP fielded candidates for 59 seats. While in the Mahavikas Aghadi alliance, Congress had fielded 101 candidates, Shiv Sena (UBT) had fielded 95 candidates and NCP (SP) had fielded 86 candidates. Voting for the assembly elections in the state was held in a single phase on November 20.
