Milkypur, Ayodhya. 128 couples tied the knot at the Chief Minister’s mass marriage program organized on Friday at the Amaniganj development block headquarters of Milkipur assembly constituency. In which four couples belonged to the Muslim community. Marriages of 9 couples from Rudauli development block were also celebrated. The guests present at the ceremony gave blessings, gifts and certificates to the new couple.
Addressing the programme, Rudauli MLA Ramchandra Yadav said that half of the country’s population was connected to the mainstream under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The public was not getting the benefits of the schemes administered by the Central Government. Bikapur MLA Amit Singh also gave his blessings to the newly married couples and said that it is my wish that they keep their family happy in their lives. Ayodhya MLA Ved Gupta, former MLA Gorakhnath Baba also addressed the programme. Gorakhnath Baba congratulated the newly married couples and explained in detail the plans that the government is carrying out for women. Development director Krishna Kumar Singh said all couples should take an oath that they will not accept dowry and will not tolerate domestic violence.
On this occasion, Director Development Krishna Kumar Singh, District Social Welfare Officer Ranvijay Singh, SDM Milkypur Rajiv Ratan Singh, Tehsildar Pradeep Kumar Singh, Block Development Officer Akhilesh Gupta, ADO Panchayat Siddharth Nath Pandey, ADO ISB Sampurnanand Tiwari, Additional Superintendent of Police Balwant rural, Chaudhary etc. were present prominently.
