Madhya Pradesh by-election result
The results of the by-elections held in two assembly seats of Madhya Pradesh, Budhni and Vijaypur, have started being published. In the initial trends, the Congress has dealt a heavy blow to the BJP. The Congress is leading the early trends in the Budhni Assembly seat, which is the stronghold of former Chief Minister and Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. If we talk about Vijaypur assembly seat in Sheopur district, then minister Ramniwas Rawat is lagging behind from here.
In the Budhni Assembly, Congress candidate Rajkumar Patel is leading by 5,600 votes till 9 am. The counting will be done in 13 rounds in Budhni. The result is expected here at 1 p.m. In this by-election, 20 candidates were in the fray for the Budhni assembly seat. The main contest is between former BJP MP Ramakant Bhargava and Congress MP Rajkumar Patel. Budhni’s seat had fallen vacant due to the resignation of Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan after being elected MP.
Congress is also ahead in Vijaypur MP seat
In the by-election held in Vijaypur MP seat, Congress is leading by 277 votes. BJP’s Ramniwas Rawat got 3,020 votes, while Congress’s Mukesh Malhotra got 3,297 votes.

Budhni is included in a high profile seat
Budhni Assembly seat is one of the high profile seats of Madhya Pradesh, former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has been MLA of this seat 5 times, Shivraj resigned after winning the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and becoming deputy. So this seat became vacant. In his place, the party has placed his close aide Ramakant Bhargava.
