MP Vijaypur Bypoll Result: BJP Forest Minister lost Madhya Pradesh elections, now raising questions on EVM, demanding recount

The Minister of Forests, Ramniwas Rawat.

There has been quite a stir at the Vijaypur headquarters in Madhya Pradesh. Congress candidate Mukesh Malhotra won from here. He has defeated Forest Minister Ramniwas Rawat by 7,228 votes. Rawat has raised questions on EVMs. He has demanded a recount. I’m going to request this.

Voting was held in Vijaypur seat on November 13. Ramnivas had won the assembly elections as a Congress candidate. However, after this he joined the BJP and resigned from his position as an Assembly member. The BJP gave him its ticket for the by-elections. However, he had to face defeat in these elections.

Ramniwas Rawat has been MLA 6 times

Ramnivas Rawat is counted among the great leaders of Madhya Pradesh. He has been a member of the Legislative Assembly on 6 occasions. His discontent with the Congress came to light just before the Lok Sabha elections. He was angry that Satyapal Singh Sikarwar won the Morena-Sheopur Lok Sabha seat. Ramniwas has contested assembly elections eight times and Lok Sabha elections twice.

The news is updating…
