The Nagpur North assembly seat is part of the Nagpur district of Maharashtra. In the 2024 assembly elections, the BJP fielded Dr Milind Mane and the Congress fielded Dr Nitin Kashinath Raut. In 2019, Congress’s Dr Nitin Raut won the seat by defeating BJP’s Dr Milind Mane by a margin of 20,694 votes.

Let us tell you that from 1999 to 2009, Congress’s Nitin Raut has been winning the Nagpur North seat. After this this assembly seat passed into the hands of the Congress. In 2014, Milind Mane won saffron from this seat on BJP ticket. But in 2019, Nitin Raut won this seat again for the fourth time and took it back from BJP control. Nitin Raut got a total of 86,821 votes in these elections. While Milind Mane of the BJP had to settle for 66,127 votes.
Gadkari’s dominance in Lok Sabha constituency
The Nagpur North seat is part of the Nagpur Lok Sabha constituency. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Nitin Jairam Gadkari defeated Congress’ Vikas Thackeray and won by a margin of 137,603 votes.
