◆ Panchayat secretaries’ protest continued for second day
Milkipur, Ayodhya. Due to lack of action regarding the dispute between the village head and the village development officer, the village development officers/Panchayat mobilized and protested at the Milkipur block headquarters for the second day on Friday. , but no case has yet been recorded.
Last week on Saturday, Gram Panchayat village head Palia Mutalke Kuchera, her husband Vijay Singh and their associates abused and assaulted Gram Panchayat officer Suraj Singh and his driver outside their residence-room in the block of Milkipur development. The Panchayat Secretary, victim, had submitted a FIR to the Kotwali Inayat Nagar Police Station to register a case against the main husband and his four associates. But angry that no action was taken even after a week, all Gram Panchayat/Village development officials of Milkipur boycotted work at the block headquarters and began a three-day peaceful protest against Pradhan Pati and his other associates. The protest continued for a second day on Friday demanding registration.
This protest is supported by officials and employees working in the development block. The officials of the protesting organization have submitted a memorandum addressed to the district magistrate at the Development Block office regarding registration of a case against the accused Pradhan Pati and his four associates, in which a case has been registered against the main accused and his four associates and a demand has been made to arrest them.
Block president of the organization Aditya Kumar said that this protest rally will be held in all blocks of the district. The protest demonstration will continue until Saturday. If no action is taken in the meantime, a protest demonstration will be held in front. from the CDO office starting Monday.
