Chief Minister Agwant Singh Mann today said that the Punjab government is following the path shown by great gurus, saints, great men, saints, mystics and martyrs for the development of the State and welfare of the people. Addressing a program organized on the occasion of Jain Agavati Diksha Mahotsav here today in the presence of Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, the Chief Minister said that as a public leader, it is his duty to protect the interests of all citizens of the state. He said Punjab is a sacred land, where people of different religions, creeds and social classes live in peace and harmony.
•Agwant Singh Mann said that people have given him a big fatwa to serve this land and he will leave no stone unturned for this noble work. The Chief Minister said that the different colors of the flowers ease everyone’s eyesight and people are eager to see them. Similarly, harmony and peaceful coexistence of all religions in all societies are extremely important for the progress of the country. • Agwant Singh Mann said his government is committed to this noble cause and is taking all possible measures to strengthen community unity in the state.
The Chief Minister said that religion gives us the message of achieving salvation by following the path of spirituality through simple living, high thoughts and the principle of non-violence. He said the eternal message of every religion is global harmony, communal harmony and peace, which is relevant in today’s materialistic society. • Agwant Singh Mann appealed to the people to further strengthen secularism, social harmony and communal harmony by following the path shown by great religious leaders.
The Chief Minister said that these programs related to our great Gurus, Saints and Peers are very important for us because they make us and our young generation aware of our religious and social traditions, which unite the entire humanity. Calling to follow the path shown by these spiritual and religious leaders, he said the AAP government is fully committed to maintaining peace, unity and communal harmony in the state.
• Agwant Singh Mann said that the state government is working with full dedication for the welfare of the society and development of the state. Recalling his old relations with the Jain community, the Chief Minister said that he has always received the blessings of the saints of the Jain community. He announced full support to the community to establish a state-of-the-art hospital in the area. Agwant Singh Mann expressed hope that this hospital will play a leading role in providing quality healthcare services to the people of the entire northern region.
