Literature today until 2024: Today is the second day of ‘Sahitya Aajtak 2024’, a grand gathering of tunes and alphabets in the country’s capital, Delhi. Prominent writers, writers and artists from the country participate in this three-day program. He touched the hearts of music lovers in the session ‘Tu Jo Mere Sur Mein Sur Mila Le’ on the stage of the biggest literature Mahakumbh ‘Sahitya Aajtak 2024’.
Famous singer Hemlata and her biographer Arvind Yadav participated in this special session. Hemlata spoke about the depths of music while sharing memorable moments from her life, while Arvind Yadav wrote a book on Hemlata’s life. Through which unpublished aspects of his life were exposed. This confluence of melodies and words thrilled the audience and deepened their love for music.
Starting the program, singer Hemlata said that people of Delhi have a great contribution in my career. When I was young, there was a program at the Red Fort. There were big Bollywood stars in it, the people present blessed me and today I have traveled from there to here. During this, the song ‘Ankhi ke jharokho se tune dekha jo saavre…’ was sung. After this, his famous song ‘Kaun Disha Mein Leke Chala Re Batuhiya…’ was played.
Hemlata said that in front of me there was not just a wall, but a wall of steel. Who could penetrate it? Nobody asked about me until they sold me, but you made me precious by buying me. Hemlata said about the writer Arvind that he wanted to write, so after understanding many things, I told him to write. He approached me and turned on the camera. He kept asking questions for an hour and a half, two, and I kept answering. He then returned to Hyderabad. This sequence continued for a year and a half or two. Singer Hemlata has sung more than 5 thousand songs in 38 languages.

Hemlata said that I sang my first song when I was 13 years old. Everything I have is a gift from God. Music is a language in itself. Many times, it is clear from the aalaap itself whether it is sad, romantic or haunted. My idol has been Lata Mangeshkar. When I sang the first song with him, I had a 103-degree fever from fear. That song was: Raaton Mein Ho Raaton Mein.
She said she used to think that if I had a song in a movie, my name would also have the Playback Singer prefix. Circumstances at home were critical. Today I am 71 years old. Whatever it is, whatever it is, it’s only thanks to the people here. Every time I found myself in front of Lata Mai, I didn’t have the courage to look over her feet, I didn’t have the courage to look at her face.
Writer Arvind said that the song Kaun Disha Se Leke… from the film Nadiya Ke Paar was sung when she was pregnant and turning 9 months. At that time he sang the song in one take. His struggle and dedication to singing demonstrates the extent to which his personality falls into the category of greatness. Along with Hemlata, her only son Aditya also attended the show. During this, Hemlata also hummed a song in Oriya language. Apart from this, he also sang Main Hai Sapno Ke Gaon Mein, Pyaar Ki Chhawan Mein Bithaye Rakhna Sajna…, which was very much liked by the audience present. During this, a book based on Hemlata’s life was also released.
