Recipe to make chickpea flour sheera:
First step- Put 3 cups of water in a saucepan and keep it warm. When the water is hot enough, put in 1 or 2 green cardamoms after removing the peel. Add about 7-8 long pieces of finely chopped dry coconut. Boil the water well.
Second step- Now add 2 tablespoons of desi ghee in the pan. After the ghee melts, add half a cup i.e. about 100 grams of flour to the ghee. Mix in the chickpea flour while stirring and continue frying on low heat until fine. When the chickpea flour is well toasted, add the coconut water little by little and continue stirring.
Third step- When the chickpea flour thickens, add some water again and keep stirring. Similarly, add all the water to the chickpea flour and cook, stirring continuously. Keep the gas flame very low and while stirring keep breaking up the lumps of the chickpea flour. Add half a cup of jaggery or desi khand.
Fourth step- As soon as it is added, the color of chickpea flour will turn light brown. You have to stir it in circular motions and then cover and cook for 3-4 minutes. Because of this, the chickpea flour syrup will become slightly thick. Keep in mind that the syrup should be liquid. Now add 1 tablespoon of poppy seeds.
Fifth step- If you wish, you can also add 1 pinch of black pepper and 1 pinch of dried ginger powder. This will further improve the taste and quality. Sheera chickpea flour is ready. Eating it hot will relieve cold, cough and cough. It can also be given to small children.
