Congress leader provides information on CWC Congress meeting

The Congress Working Committee has raised many serious questions accusing the Election Commission of biased attitude. Considering the growing frustration and deep fears among various sections of the society, the Congress Working Committee has decided to raise these public concerns in the form of a national movement.

Reporting on the resolutions passed in the Congress Working Committee, Venugopal said that the integrity of the entire electoral process is seriously compromised. Free and fair elections are a constitutional obligation, but the partisan functioning of the Electoral Commission is seriously calling it into question. Many sections of society are disappointed and extremely apprehensive. Congress will raise these public concerns as a national movement.

Many issues were raised at the meeting.

Many issues were raised at the Congress Working Committee meeting. Firstly, he mentioned recent revelations about corruption committed by a business group with very close ties to the Prime Minister. After this, all issues were discussed, secondly, the ongoing violence in Manipur and thirdly, BJP’s intention to promote communal tension in various states including UP.

The Congress said this session has been in vain so far due to the Modi government’s refusal to hold an immediate debate on these three national issues in the winter session of Parliament. Along with this, the Congress Working Committee also discussed the challenges faced by the Congress after the results of the four assembly elections.

Party workers excited by Priyanka Gandhi’s victory

The Congress Working Committee said Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s massive victory in the Wayanad by-election has created a wave of enthusiasm among party workers and the public. The Congress Working Committee thanked the people of Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir for the decisive mandate in favor of the Indian Alliance parties.

The Working Committee said the people of Jharkhand have completely rejected the BJP’s dangerously divisive and toxic polarization campaign. The party will continue to push for restoration of full statehood in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Congress Working Committee also admitted that the party’s performance in Haryana has been contrary to all expectations. The proposal said that Congress should have simply formed the government in the state with a huge margin, but this did not happen. Electoral irregularities have affected the results, which cannot be ignored. The results of the Maharashtra elections are beyond common understanding and clearly appear to be a case of selective manipulation. The Working Committee expressed hope that the Speaker would soon complete the detailed state review and take necessary action.

The party leader said: workers should not feel disappointed

The Congress Working Committee assured the party workers that there is no need to be disappointed or panic. We must move forward with renewed determination. The issues raised by the party before the people during the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra and Lok Sabha election campaign are matters of daily concern to the people of our country. These will be addressed more strongly.

The Congress Working Committee also decided to celebrate the centenary of Mahatma Gandhi becoming Congress President in Belgaum in December this year. 100 years ago, Mahatma Gandhi took over as President of the Indian National Congress at the Belgaum session on December 26, 1924.
