Fadnavis on election results, (Aaj Samaj), Mumbai: With the results of the Maharashtra Assembly elections favoring the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Mahayuti faction in the state, state deputy chief minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis said it is an unprecedented victory and there will be no controversy over the Chief Minister’s face. The alliance leaders will decide the face of the Chief Minister.

Besides the BJP, Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party are the other two components of the ruling coalition. Devendra Fadnavis said that from day one it was decided that after the elections the leaders of the three parties would sit together and decide on the matter. The decision will be acceptable to everyone, there is no controversy about it.
Mahayuti leads with 230 seats
Fadnavis’ comments come at a time when a section of BJP leaders have demanded that Fadnavis be made Chief Minister after the party’s impressive performance in the elections. As per the latest trends, the Mahayuti Party is winning/leading at least 230 seats in the 288-member House, while the BJP will be the largest party.
The Saffron Party leads with 132 seats
The saffron party leads with 132 seats, which itself is about half of the 144. The BJP leader, who chose to be second in command behind Shinde, who was appointed chief minister after the Shiv Sena split , called himself the “modern Abhimanyu”. Fadnavis said: I had also said earlier that I am a modern Abhimanyu and I know how to break the Chakravyuh. I feel like my contribution to this victory is small, it is our team’s victory.
I support Modi and his motto “If we are together, we are safe”
The Deputy Chief Minister said the results of the Maharashtra Assembly elections show that the state supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his motto “If we are together, we are safe”. The BJP leader said, ‘The people of Maharashtra have given us an unprecedented victory. This shows that people are with Prime Minister Modi. According to the motto he gave “If we are together, then we are safe”, people from all classes and communities came together and voted for us. This is the victory of Mahayuti, CM Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar and Ramdas Athawale, this is the victory of unity.
