Mumbai: Amrita Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, on Saturday said Mahayuti’s victory in the Maharashtra Assembly elections is more than expected. Amrita, a banker and singer by profession, said, “The victory was expected, but this is a big victory beyond expectations.” “I’m very happy.”
Amrita Fadnavis said that everyone is happy that BJP has won such a big victory. Mahayuti and BJP have performed brilliantly and today is a historic day. Ladli Brahmin Yojana has had a great impact and we have benefited from it. The BJP has done development work in the state and people analyzed everything and voted in our favour.
Does Amrita want to see Fadnavis as CM again?
Asked if she would like to see her husband as prime minister again, Amrita said: “The party will decide, the Mahayuti will decide.” The leader everyone elects will be good for Maharashtra.” He said: “Everyone did the best they could. Now the next decision (who will be the prime minister) has to be taken by our top leaders and the parliamentary board (BJP).
As Mahayuti moves towards power, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut alleged that there is a “huge conspiracy” in it and something is “wrong”. When asked about Raut’s statement, Amrita said, “Today is a good day, why say bad things?”
Devendra Fadnavis had targeted Kanhaiya Kumar
Last week, Devendra Fadnavis attacked Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar for making critical comments about his wife. Fadnavis had also said that those who made derogatory comments against his wife should be ashamed and “drown in some water and die”. Kanhaiya Kumar created controversy by commenting on Amrita Fadnavis for making a reel on Instagram. Kumar had said in Nagpur: “It cannot be that it is our responsibility to save religion and the Deputy Chief Minister’s wife is making a fuss on Instagram. Everyone will have to save religion together.
