The bowling attack which includes Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood-Pat Cummins is part of the attack. It is very difficult to face a bowling attack that has Nathan Lyon offside. But Team India’s young batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal not only took on these giants but also defeated them. Yashasvi Jaiswal’s bat roared ferociously in the second innings of the Perth Test. Yashasvi, who was out for 0 in the first innings, gave the Kangaroos no chance in the second innings and remained unbeaten on 90 runs till the end of the day. Let us now tell you about the enormous sacrifice that Yashasvi Jaiswal has made to make it big in Australia. To shine in the land of kangaroo, Yashasvi has performed exercises that you can’t even imagine.
This is how Jaiswal became successful
Rajasthan Royals director of cricket Zubin Bharucha revealed in an interview to PTI that Yashasvi Jaiswal has worked hard to succeed in Australia. He said to adapt to Australia’s fast and bouncy pitch, he went to the Thane stadium. He spent two days in that stadium, he didn’t even return home. In these two days, Jaiswal batted for 200 overs. He held the concrete slab at a 45-degree angle and practiced with balls at a speed of about 145 kilometers per hour. During this drill, balls were bowled with the body pointing at the stump.
Jaiswal changed the preparations.
Before going to Australia, players normally batted on a 15-yard pitch. In order to get used to the balls coming fast, Jaiswal adopted a different strategy. In practice he used lighter synthetic balls that bounced faster. Apart from this, instead of cement pitch, he placed a concrete slab which gave an uneven bounce to the ball. This is the reason why Jaiswal does not face any problem even on the fast pitch of Perth. Jaiswal dropped the ball with ease in Perth and then after setting up, he played incredible shots. Jaiswal has made a 172-run partnership with KL Rahul, now it is expected that after completing the century on the third day, he will lead team India to the winning score.
