New Delhi: BJP leader and veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty’s security was increased on Tuesday. Mithun now has Y-Plus security. After receiving threats on social media, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has decided to increase its security. According to information, Mithun Chakraborty was threatened by a Pakistani gangster on social media. Pakistani don Shehzad Bhatti, in a video message, threatened him with dire consequences if he did not apologize within 10 to 15 days for his alleged anti-Muslim comments.
Two FIRs registered against Mithun Chakraborty
Last month, two FIRs were registered against Mithun Chakraborty for allegedly making inflammatory statements during a BJP event in the Salt Lake area near Kolkata. Chakraborty, who received the Dadasaheb Phalke award, had said on October 27 that the ‘masnad’ (throne) of West Bengal will belong to the BJP after the 2026 assembly elections, promising to do anything.
Campaigning for the BJP in Jharkhand
Meanwhile, the actor campaigned for his party in Jharkhand ahead of Monday’s state assembly elections. Chakraborty led a massive tour in East Singhbhum district. He campaigned for former CM Arjun Munda’s wife and BJP candidate Meera Munda in Potka assembly constituency. As the roadshow passed through Gopalpur, Rakhamines and Jadugora areas, a huge crowd, including a large number of women, gathered to catch a glimpse of the Bollywood superstar. Chakraborty then went to the Dahigora Circus Ground in Ghatsila, where he briefly addressed a rally in favor of BJP candidate Babulal Soren. Voting will be held in Jharkhand on November 13 and 20.
