Jintur Election Results: BJP contests with NCP for Jintur seat, who will win?

The results of the Maharashtra Assembly elections will be known today. The counting of votes in the 288 assembly seats will begin at 8:00 am. Soon we will start to see trends and after a while the results will also be clear. Votes for Jintur, one of the 288 seats, will also be counted today. In this seat, the NCP (Sharad Pawar) is contesting with the BJP and Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi. The NCP candidate is Vijay Bhamble, while the BJP candidate is Meghna Bordikar and the VBA candidate is Suresh Nagre. Jintur assembly falls in Parbhani district.

The BJP won the 2019 assembly elections here and Meghna Bordikar became the MLA. Ahead of him was NCP’s Vijay Manik Rao. Meghna got 1,16,913 votes, while the NCP candidate got 1,13,196 votes. Meghna had won this election by a very small margin of votes. By early 2014, NCP’s Vijay Bhamble had won. Prior to this, Congress had been in possession of this headquarters for a long time.

History of Jintur seat

Manikrao Bhamble of Congress won the assembly elections in 1980. After this, in 1985, Ganeshrao Dudhgaonkar of Congress won. After this, in 1990 and 1995, Ramprasad Kadam Bordikar of Congress won from here and became MLA. In 1999, Congress’s Kundali Rao Nagre won. In 2004, independent Ramprasad Kadam Bordikar, who later joined the Congress, won. He also won the 2009 assembly elections.

Dalit and Muslim voters have a good influence in the Jintur assembly seat. Dalit and Muslim voters here account for around 12-12%. While voters from tribal communities are around 4%. Apart from this, if we compare urban and rural voters, around 80% are rural voters, while around 20% are urban voters.
