Maharashtra Assembly elections were held on November 20. Voting took place in all 288 seats in the assembly. The results will be known today i.e. November 23, after which it will be clear who will come to power in Maharashtra this time. This time the main contest in Maharashtra is between Mahayuti and Mahavikas Aghadi. If we talk about Akole assembly seat, the main contest here is between the NCP and the NCP (Sharad Pawar).

While Amit Ashok Bhangre contested on behalf of NCP (Sharad Pawar) in the 2024 assembly elections, Dr Kiran Yamaji Lahmate was in the fray on behalf of NCP. This time it remains to be seen who wins this seat from the uncle-nephew party.

In the 2019 assembly elections, NCP’s Dr Kiran Yamaji Lahmate won this seat by a margin of 57,689 votes. He obtained 113,414 votes with 65.08% of votes. He defeated Pitchad Vaibhav Madhukarrao of the BJP, who got 55,725 votes (31.98%).

Pichad Vaibhav Madhukarrao won from this seat in the 2014 assembly elections. In the 2014 assembly elections, Pichad Vaibhav Madhukarrao polled 67,696 votes with 42.03% votes. SHS candidate Talpade Madhukar Shankar got 47,634 votes (29.57%). Pichad Vaibhav Madhukarrao defeated Talpade Madhukar Shankar by a margin of 20,062 votes.

This assembly seat first came into existence in 1962. Then Yashwant S Bhangre of the Congress Party won. Assembly elections have been held in this seat 13 times so far. For most of this time, Congress has been in control, while earlier the Communist Party of India won.
