Nevasa 2024 Election Result

There is a tough contest between Mahayuti and Maha Vikas Aghadi in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Mahayuti includes the BJP, Shiv Sena and the NCP (Ajit Pawar), while the Maha Vikas Aghadi includes the Congress as well as the NCP (Sharad Pawar) and the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray’s faction). The Nevasa Assembly seat is between Shiv Sena’s Vithalrao Langhepatil and Shiv Sena’s Shankarrao Gadakh (Uddhav Thackeray).

Voting was held on November 20 in a single phase for 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra. The Nevasa assembly headquarters is located in Ahmednagar district. There are a total of 12 assembly seats in Ahmednagar. The Nevasa seat comes below the Shirdi Lok Sabha seat. Ahmednagar district also has five other constituencies: Sangamner, Shirdi, Kopargaon, Shrirampur and Akole.

What was the result in 2019?

In the 2019 Assembly elections held five years ago, Shankarrao Yashwantrao Gadakh of the Setkari Revolutionary Party won. Gadakh won in an easy contest by securing 1,16,943 votes. BJP’s Balasaheb alias Dadasaheb Damodhar Murkute came second. Shankarrao Yashwantrao Gadakh was defeated by 30,663 votes.

Earlier, in the 2014 assembly elections, BJP’s Balasaheb alias Dadasaheb Damodar Murkute had won by 84,570 votes. NCP’s Gadakh Shankarrao Yashwantrao came second.

Nevasa is one of the historical places of Maharashtra. Remains of a multi-level settlement from the Paleolithic to the Middle Ages have been found here. High definition from the 1950s. Excavation work was carried out here under the direction of Sankalia and G. Karve-Corvinus in 1967. The famous Mohiniraj temple is situated on the Nevasa itself. This temple was completed in the year 1773 and its height is 75 feet. Here Lord Vishnu is worshiped in the form of Mohiniraj.
