Bhopal: The two-day meeting of the Congress Working Committee in Madhya Pradesh concluded on Friday amid controversies and differences. Congress leader Umang Singhar did not attend Friday’s meeting, while 16 of the 25 members of the Political Affairs Committee remained absent from Thursday’s meeting. This absence has further exposed discontent and internal divisions in the party, especially after the BJP’s crushing defeat in last year’s assembly elections.

Prominent leaders who did not attend the first day’s meeting include former chief minister Kamal Nath, former opposition leader Ajay Singh, former state minister Govind Singh, former Union minister Arun Yadav, Praveen Pathak , Kamleshwar Patel, Shobha Ojha and MLA Arif. Masood. They were included. Similarly, party leader Digvijay Singh also remained absent from the meeting.

differences in the congressional meeting

The discussion about discontent in the party has intensified due to the inclusion of such important names in the list of leaders absent from the meeting. However, Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Jitu Patwari attributed Umang Singhar’s absence to his sore throat. When asked about his crying on the first day of the meeting, Patwari called it a “media-fabricated story” and said, “I am a warrior.”

However, a party leader said leaders who did not attend the meeting were in favor of taking the decision to convene the Assembly next week because of the policies and failures of the BJP government. Furthermore, the party has decided to appoint officers for all 230 assembly constituencies, so that it can perform better in the upcoming elections.

The party made organizational decisions.

During the Congress Working Committee meeting, the party also decided to form district, mohalla and village committees. This meeting is considered an important step towards the new organizational structure of the party, because the process of forming these committees began last month and this was the first meeting. The party has indicated from the decisions taken at the meeting that it is serious about preparations for the upcoming assembly elections, but internal discontent and differences among leaders may become a major challenge for the party.
