Chandigarh News (Aaj Samaj) Chandigarh: The government has started preparations for the appointment of the chairman of the Haryana Human Rights Commission, which has been lying vacant for the last 14 months. Soon the Haryana Human Rights Commission will have a new chairman. Chief Minister Naib Saini has called a meeting in this regard. Apart from Chief Minister Nayab Saini, Assembly Speaker Harvindra Kalyan and another MP may attend this meeting. At the meeting, ideas will be exchanged about the names of the president and the other two members of the Commission.

The positions of President and members of the Commission have been vacant for about 14 months. It may be noted that due to non-appointment to the post of Chairman of Haryana Human Rights Commission, complaints reaching the Commission are not resolved. Due to this, common people are facing huge problems. In the Commission, one position is the President and two positions are members.

The position is vacant as of April 2023.

The post of Chairman of Haryana Human Rights Commission will be vacant from April 2023. Former Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court SK Mittal and Chairman and Member of Haryana Human Rights Commission Justice KC , they have retired. After that, the commission continued to function with the support of one member until September 2023. But now he has also retired. The High Court has also strongly rebuked the Haryana government for the delay in appointment of the Haryana Human Rights Commission.
