Maharashtra Assembly (Aaj Samaj) Mumbai Results: After voting on November 20, counting of votes in 288 Maharashtra assembly seats continues today. Trends began to emerge some time after counting began. Initial trends show a tight contest between the Mahayuti alliance and Mahavikas Aghadi. Trends change every moment. Initial trends show a big advantage for Mahayuti. CM Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Ajit Pawar are at the helm.
Devendra Fadnavis is leading from Nagpur South-West seat by over 6,000 votes. The Mahayuti alliance is leading with 216 seats and the Mahavikas Aghadi alliance is leading with 59 seats. The main contest in these elections is between Mahayuti and Mahavikas Aghadi. Mahayuti includes the BJP, Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) and the NCP (Ajit Pawar), while the Mahavikas Aghadi includes the Congress, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) and the NCP (Sharad Pawar). At the same time, out of 11 exit polls released on November 20, 6 are expected to form the BJP alliance i.e. the Mahayuti government. There is a possibility of an alliance in Congress i.e. Mahavikas Aghadi in 4 polls and Hung Assembly in one poll. The BJP candidate from Bhokar and Ashok Chavan’s daughter is also leading.
Raj Thackeray’s son Amit Thackeray is overdue
SP leader Abu Azmi is leading from Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar seat. Nawab Malik of the NCP has been left behind in this position. Mahesh Sawant of Shiv Sena (UBT) leads from Mahim.
