A big blow is seen for the SP in Kundarki assembly seat and Meerapur seat. The Kundarki assembly seat is dominated by Muslims. In such a situation, the BJP candidates have a lead of about 34,000 votes. The BJP is also leading from the Ghaziabad and Phulpur assembly seats. The Samajwadi Party is ahead in Karhal and Seemamau, the strongholds of the Mulayam family.

The Election Commission has deployed nine observers for the counting of votes. According to official information, all vote counting is carried out under CCTV surveillance.
