Peshawar: The restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwestern Pakistan has become even more chaotic. At least 18 people have died here in the last 24 hours due to factional violence. While another 30 people have been injured. Giving this information, Pakistan police said that after the attack on a passenger van on Thursday in Kurram district bordering Afghanistan, violence broke out between the Alizai and Bagan tribes.
According to the information, 47 people died in the attack on the passenger van. Shooting also occurs in Balishkhel, Khar Kali, Kunj Alizai and Maqbal. Residents of tribal communities attack each other using automatic weapons. So far 18 people have lost their lives and 30 have been injured in the violence. Media sources have reported more than 30 people killed in the violence.

During the violence, anarchist elements set fire to many houses and shops and carried out horrific acts of vandalism. After this, people from several villages have headed to safe places. As the situation worsened, all educational institutions in the district were closed for Saturday, confirmed Muhammad Hayat Hasan, president of the ‘Private Education Network’. On Thursday, more than 50 vehicles were attacked by gunfire in Bagan, Manduri and Ochhat. Police officials said 47 people, including women and children, died in this.
