Peethadhishwar of Bageshwar Dham, Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, in a statement on Saturday termed the electoral process as ‘Maha Yagya’ and appealed to the Hindu society to unite. He says elections in a democracy are like a Mahayagya, where votes are given as a sacrifice and the candidate who gets more votes wins.

Baba Bageshwar expressed concern over the caste system and other distortions within the Hindu society and said, “The main reason for the lack of unity in the Hindu society is the caste system and distance. We have to show a new direction by bringing together to all Hindus. We have to show a new direction by uniting all Hindus unite under the flag and teach each section equally that we are all one.” He also said that different leaders or organizations work in the Hindu society in their own way, but all of them should have one goal – Hindu unity and propagation of Hindutva.

He said who should support.

Continuing, he said: “All the distortions and distances that exist in Hindu society will have to be removed. If we want to make India a world leader, then we will all have to be united. On the 29th, we will take a collective resolution at Ram Raja Orchha and this resolution will not only unite India but will also unite Hindu society.” Regarding the elections, Baba Bageshwar said: “Whatever work is done for the welfare of the Hindu society and those who do Hindutva work, we must support them. In democracy, victory is won only by the person who gets more votes”.

“People like T Raja are necessary for Hindu society”

Referring to T Raja, Baba Bageshwar said: “People like T Raja are necessary for the Hindu society. He alone fights against the anti-religious people and takes back their lands. We need agitating leaders like T Raja, who defend the Hindus, defend the society and raise your voice.” In the end, while supporting the Hindu society, he also said, “Those who raise a finger against the Hindu religion, that finger will be cut off. The Hindu society has now woken up and is going to write a new history.”
