4pm News Network: The eyes of the entire country are on the 9 assembly seats in the UP by-elections. On the other hand, there is a lot of curiosity about the results of the Wayanad seat, from where Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is contesting. Also, results of by-elections held for 7 seats in Rajasthan, 6 in West Bengal, 5 in Assam, 4 in Punjab and 4 in Bihar will be announced. Elections have been held for three seats each in Karnataka and Kerala. Apart from these, eyes are on the Kedarnath headquarters in Uttarakhand.

Counting of votes continues for the assembly by-elections held in four seats of Bihar, Ramgarh, Tarari, Imamganj and Belaganj. The Bharatiya Janata Party has achieved victory for the first time in Tarari, but the official announcement is yet to be made. NDA candidate and former CM Jitan Ram Manjhi’s daughter-in-law Deepa Manjhi also won from Imamganj of Gaya district. RJD’s three-decade stronghold in Belaganj headquarters collapsed. From here, Surendra Yadav’s son Vishwajeet Singh was defeated by JDU’s Manorama Devi. There is a tight contest between BSP and BJP in Ramgarh.

Another surprise in Ramgarh, BSP defeated BJP

  • The contest for Ramgarh assembly seat is turning out to be very interesting.
  • BSP’s Satish alias Pintu Yadav has taken the lead after the eighth round of counting.
  • He has a lead of 170 votes, BJP’s Ashok Singh has moved into second place and there are still three rounds of counting left.

Congress won by 25,413 votes.

  • After Sandur, the Congress also won the Chennapatna assembly seat in Karnataka.
  • Here Congress candidate CP Yogishwar defeated JDS candidate and former CM HD Kumaraswamy by a margin of 25,413 votes.

Kuldeep Singh Dhillon of Congress won

  • Congress candidate Kuldeep Singh Dhillon has won the by-election from Barnala Assembly seat in Punjab.
  • Kuldeep defeated Aam Aadmi Party’s Harinder Singh Dhaliwal by 2,157 votes.
