Kaithal News (Aaj Samaj) Kaithal: Kaithal District Council passed an important resolution against those unnecessarily harassing the Sarpanch and other government institutions by filing RTI. This proposal was approved in the meeting held last day under the chairmanship of President Kaithal Zilla Parishad. According to which a letter will now be written to the government to take strict action against those who blackmail by unnecessarily demanding government records through RTI.
According to the proposal approved by the District Council, a letter will also be sent to the Information Commission about these people, demanding their ban. Zilla Parishad president Karambir Kaul said he had received complaints from sarpanches and block committee members of some villages that some people in the village were harassing them in the name of RTI. They stop the ongoing development works in the village.
The proposal was approved unanimously.
The Speaker said that keeping this issue in mind, a proposal was placed before all members in the House meeting. To which everyone agreed and the proposal was approved by the entire committee. A copy will be sent to Haryana Chief Minister Naib Saini through DC Kaithal.
