Faridabad News: Applications invited for Sushma Swaraj Award

Eligible women can apply until December 2.
Faridabad News (Aaj Samaj) Faridabad: DC Vikram Singh said that the Women and Child Development Department is executing many schemes for the welfare of women and children. In this series, the department has invited applications till December 2, 2024 to award Sushma Swaraj Award to women who have made achievements in various fields. This award will be presented on March 8, 2025 on the occasion of International Women’s Day. DC said the Sushma Swaraj Award is conferred by the state to women who have achieved achievements and made significant contributions in various fields at the national and international levels.

The prize includes Rs 5 lakh cash, a citation and a shawl. District program officer Meenakshi Choudhary said the applicant must be born in Haryana and work for the welfare of women and the nominee must be alive at the time of nomination. Eligible women are required to report to the office of the District Program Officer, Department of Women and Child Development, Faridabad, Room No. 205-A, Sector 12 of the Labor Court, Faridabad before December 2, 2024 and submit the application as per the proforma prescribed by the department. The application rules are available on the department’s website.

Requests requested from seniors

DC Vikram Singh said that as per the directions of Social Justice and Empowerment, Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, Antyodaya (Services), applications have been invited from senior citizens for the year 2024-25 under the schemes of the state government on the occasion of International Day of Older Persons. Apart from this, applications have also been invited for state awards for best Gram Panchayats/best NGOs. DC said eligible senior citizens, top Gram Panchayats and NGOs should complete their applications online and submit them to the local district social welfare department by November 25.
