Sahitya Aaj Tak The second day of Mahakumbh 2024 was quite entertaining. Social media influencer Kusha Kapila came to speak on the OTT platform. He spoke about his journey as an actor. Kusha also reacted to how much the meaning of roasting has changed on social media. The actress also opened up about her weight loss journey.
How did you start your journey into content?
I had studied design. I studied here for 4 years. I had done literature before this. During this time I felt that this was not for me. However, he completed his studies. But I didn’t make my career in this. I loved to write. I dedicated myself to writing about fashion. After working there for 4 or 5 years, I started creating content. I used to write about opinions on Bollywood stars’ clothes.
He brought unique characters to his content.
How many characters must there have been in the family who had spoken like that? Aunts, aunts, grandmothers, each one speaks differently. So I thought of creating content related to Punjabi characters with the same people. Today the only thing I hear from my relatives is that my son is healthy and thin. There are comments about the body that I probably hear every day.
Crossing the lines in the name of toast
Yes I agree, in the name of roasting people are crossing the line and getting personal. I think the line I have drawn is a good line. I think many women can learn from her. When I clarified, I said that those women who are artists and who will participate in such a roast format should have a good contract and a good broker. Rest I think we’ll have to beef up our responses. Because something we have to work on is trust. And the more we work at it, the more we will know how to speak for ourselves. Girls can go ahead with my whole incident and those who have any problem can call me.
After becoming an actor, I bought a house in Delhi. He made money and bought a house. Build the house of your dreams. Now I have to spend my life with my parents. I like to invest my money in the right place. Everything I spend, I do it thoughtfully. I took my father’s hand and invested in stocks, securities and in the right places.
Doing OTT scripts, films, there have been a lot of changes.
Training became completely different. Creating content is not that easy. To work in cinema and in the world of OTT you have to train. So now I spend most of my time taking workshops, because playing a character on the big screen is quite different. Acting is quite different from the content I used to create. I learn something different and try to do something different.
How are scripts chosen?
I really like the movie ‘Sukhi’. The message that cinema has given to women. I’ve done enough of those types of characters. Now I want to try to do something different that people might not associate with me. Maybe you want to do action, drama or a villain role. My movie ‘Sub Primera Class’ is coming up. I am with Varun Sharma and Shehnaz Gill in that film. Guys, you will see me playing a very different character.
What was the turning point?
The turning point has arrived in my life. Well, there are many turning points in life. There are more turning points to come. Waiting for change.
What was the bad first experience?
I was on set and he would pack his bags. I thought everyone would sit comfortably, but the TV had fallen. Time is very important in Mumbai. Many things change suddenly. For me, changing the set so quickly was quite a different experience. Spot boy, vanity van, dubbing, all this was a very special and different moment for me. Dubbing is not easy at all. What a dream life it is to be a celebrity.
And what do you want to do next?
I think every day I think about what I want from the film industry. I think I should contribute something to the film industry so that people will remember me with that character for years to come. I’m seeing something like this.
Kusha Kapila spoke about the transformation
Kusha said: When I was 13, my weight started going up and down. Every 10 years I saw myself changing. But now the only difference is that I eat more healthy foods and exercise than before. And this is my usual. I look better now. Fitness is a regular thing for me now.
Kusha talked about trolls
What people say about you, condemning you. There are many people who write well about you. It’s up to you what type of feedback you’re focusing on. I just want to do a good job. This is just a perspective game. Look only at the comments that tell you positive things. People will say something, it’s the people’s job to say it.
I’m trying to write a program. I am working with my friend Srishti on it. If it’s done, I’d like to work on it. The rest I will continue creating content. I will continue acting. I will continue doing my best work.
