According to the election results, Mahayuti, the alliance of the BJP, Shiv Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) and the NCP (Ajit Pawar), won a strong majority. In such a situation, the Bharatiya Janata Party has become the largest party in the state. But on the other hand, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav surprised everyone. - The BJP had contested the elections from 149 seats in Maharashtra. The party won or leads with 132 seats, meaning the BJP’s success rate was even higher: 88 percent.
- Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena contested 81 seats and won 55 seats with a success rate of 67 per cent.
- In these elections, Ajit Pawar’s NCP won 41 out of 59 seats with a success rate of 69.4.
- At the same time, the main opposition party, UP, had tried its luck in the electoral unrest in Maharashtra.
