Navjot Singh Sidhu’s wife’s cancer cure: A video of Congress leader and former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu is going viral on social media, in which he says that his wife Navjot Kaur’s cancer has been cured with a special home-made diet. The director of Tata Memorial Hospital, while criticizing Sidhu for this statement, advised cancer patients not to make the mistake of relying on any such “unproven treatment”.
Addressing a press conference, Navjot Singh Sidhu said that avoiding sugar, dairy products and consumption of turmeric and neem had proven very effective in curing his wife’s cancer. On this, Dr CS Pramesh, director of Tata Memorial Hospital, says that there is no solid scientific evidence behind these claims. It has also released a statement signed by 262 current and former cancer specialists of Tata Memorial Hospital. In this statement it has been said that there is no clinical data available on curing cancer with turmeric and neem.
In this lecture, Sidhu had said that his wife Navjot Kaur was suffering from stage 4 cancer. Her cancer has been cured with a simple diet and systematic lifestyle. The doctor had said his wife’s chances of survival were only 5 percent. But with the help of regular consumption of turmeric, neem water, apple cider vinegar and lemon water and strict abstinence from sugar, carbohydrates and intermittent fasting, she was discharged from the hospital in just 40 days.
Experts at Tata Memorial Hospital have urged cancer patients not to rely on these “unproven treatments” in case of a serious disease like cancer. If cancer is detected at the right time, treatment is possible. And the correct treatment for cancer is surgery, radiation and chemotherapy.
Dr Pramesh also posted a clip of Sidhu’s press conference on X and wrote, “No one should be fooled after hearing such things.” He said such claims are unscientific and unsubstantiated. Navjot Kaur underwent surgery and chemotherapy. This is the reason why he is cancer free today. The claim that turmeric, neem or anything else is helpful for this is baseless.
