The results of the Maharashtra Assembly elections have arrived. There was a Mahayuti tsunami in these elections and many great leaders were defeated. Till the time of writing the news, Mahayuti could get 234 seats and Mahavikas Aghadi could get 48 seats. At the same time, in many parties the accounts have not even been opened. Talking about Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM, it had fielded candidates for 14 seats in Maharashtra, out of which it could win only one seat.
AIMIM’s Mufti Mohammad Ismail won from the Malegaon Central seat, but that too by a very small margin. Mufti Mohammad Ismail obtained 109,653 votes. At the same time, his margin of victory was only 162 votes. He defeated Asif Sheikh Rasheed, candidate of the Indian Largest Secular Assembly Party from Maharashtra. He obtained 109,491 votes. From the Malegaon Central seat, Nihal Ahmed of the Samajwadi Party came third with 9,624 votes and Ijaz Baig of the Congress secured 7,527 votes. Here nine candidates got fewer votes than NOTA. 1,089 votes were cast in favor of NOTA for this position.
Former MP Waris Pathan and former MP Imtiaz Jalil lost
Former MP Imtiaz Jaleel lost the Aurangabad East seat. BJP’s Atul Save defeated Jalil by just 2,161 votes. Atul Save got 93274 votes while Jalil got 91113 votes. While Waris Pathan remained at the fifth position from the Bhiwandi West seat. He obtained only 15,800 votes. Here the winning candidate Mahesh Prabhakar Chougule of BJP got 70172 votes.
Talking about vote percentage, AIMIM got only 0.85% of the votes.
What was the situation in the remaining seats?
-AIMIM candidate Faiyaz Ahmed from Byculla could get 5,531 votes.
-Farooq Anwar lost in the city of Dhule. He obtained 70788 votes.
-Nasruddin Taquiuddin Siddiqui lost in Aurangabad Central, he got 77340 votes.
-Mufti Mohammad Ismail won from Malegaon Central seat.
-Sarfaraz Khan lost to Mumbra Kalwa, he got 13519 votes.
-Raees Lashkaria lost to Versova, he obtained only 2937 votes.
-Farooq Maqbool lost in Solapur, he got 61428 votes.
-Mahesh Kamble lost from Miraj seat, he got 2599 votes.
-Samrat Surwade lost in Murtijapur, he got 3201 votes.
-Syed Moin lost to Nanded South, he got 15,396 votes.
-Asma Shaikh lost to Kurla, she got 3945 votes.
-Mohammad Yusuf lost to Karanja, he obtained 31,042 votes.
