Actually, samples were taken from four newly constructed roads in Hardoi. When the samples were tested in the laboratory, they all failed. Following this, superintending engineers Subhash Chandra and Sumant Kumar were suspended in this case. Superintending engineer Sharad Kumar Mishra was also suspended. Apart from this, eight junior engineers, Mohammad Shoaib, Rajiv Kumar, Amar Singh, Ruchi Gupta, Satyendra Kumar, Awadhesh Kumar Gupta, as well as Makrand Singh Yadav and Virendra Pratap Singh, have also been suspended. A departmental inquiry has been ordered against all the suspended engineers. Samples were also sent from the other nine districts where the roads were tested.
