Chandigarh News (Aaj Samaj) Chandigarh: The Haryana Urban Local Bodies Department has prepared a plan to make seven cities of the state smart. Work has begun to make cities smart. Cities where work is being done to make them smart. They include Hisar, Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Panipat, Rohtak and Sonipat. The Directorate of Urban Local Bodies has included these seven cities in the Integrated Command and Control Center Project. This will help curb crime and also keep an eye on civic amenities. More than seven thousand rooms will be opened in these seven cities.

This means that around a thousand rooms will be installed in each city. Next, Rs 150 crore will be spent in Hisar under this project. Every square, intersection, educational institution, temple, market, main street, drinking water and security devices in the city will be monitored through CCTV. To finalize the DPR of this project, a two-member consultancy team from the Gurugram Agency of the Haryana Local Government Department approached the Hisar Municipal Corporation. He held a two and a half hour meeting with engineers from 4 departments (Municipal Corporation, Public Health Department, Police Department and Haryana Urban Development Authority).
